Club Rules
- Respect your fellow flyers as you would expect to be respected yourself.
- A person shall not recklessly or negligently cause or permit any aircraft to endanger any person or property.
- A person shall not recklessly or negligently act in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft.
- Models should be thoroughly checked prior to each flying session. Any problems should be carefully inspected and resolvedĀ before you continue to fly.
- Inexperienced flyers should never fly without an experienced helper.
- At any sign of malfunction or an unexpected interference of the model, land as soon as it is safe to do so. The model should be checked and the cause of the malfunction/interference found and resolved before continuing to fly.
- Car parking should be along one side of the site only (depending on the designated flying position on the day). Parking is not permitted anywhere else on the site.
- Cars should not be driven across the flying area.
- It is vital that you never fly or run up your helicopter in or near the pits area or near the spectators. Flying will only take place 30 meters away from the pits and the car parking area.
- Never fly an aircraft over the pits or car parking area.
- Fliers with failsafe devices or failsafe capable receivers must as a minimum set the engine to idle speed under failsafe conditions. This feature must be regularly checked to ensure correct operation.
- All club members should leave the site free from foreign objects, debris and litter.
- Club fees are payable annually and are valid for a full 12 months from the payment date. Membership should be renewed at the end of your 12 month membership, failure to do so will result in your membership being revoked.
- Any problems or complaints should be brought to the attention of the club chairman (Ian Spencer) or the secretary (Richard Sleight) as soon as possible.
- All members should conform to all safety requirements. Persistent offenders will be disciplined.
