Welcome to Windyridge Model Helicopter Club Website

Windyridge is a helicopter only model flying club. The club was originally formed as Bothamsall Model Helicopter club but the name was changed as we no longer fly at Bothamsall. In fact, over the last few years, the club has operated at a number of different locations around chesterfield. Quite a few of the original founder members of the club still attend regularly and over the years many new faces have joined.
The club continues to welcome new members whether experienced flyers or people new to the sport with little or no experience. We currently impose no limit to the number of members as the landowner whose field we use allows us 7 day access. This means no overcrowding and waiting all evening for a single flying slot.
The club is BMFA affiliated and all members are required to be BMFA members as this ensures everyone has adequate insurance cover to fly
